While I often assist public safety officials in initial searches for victims, sometimes officials will not have the resources to do a proper area search or the area is too large. In these cases, the search might be called off after a relatively short time.
It is my experience that in these situations often a methodical sonar area search can lead to the desired outcome and often give closure weeks or months sooner than otherwise.
I just wanted to thank you for your assistance on the Columbia River looking for my brother. I honestly admire your desire to help us during a time of despair, confusion, sadness, anger, hope, etc.
I wish it were a different outcome but ultimately he was taken from us.
